Join us for our 7th annual event!

On Saturday 14th September 2024, we will be climbing the infamous Pen Y Fan in the Bannau Brycheiniog (formerly Brecon Beacons).

This event is about sharing the experience together, making new friendships and supporting each other to get to the summit, so we plan to walk the route in a large group.

All abilities are welcome, so whether you have never climbed a mountain before or you're a seasoned pro we would absolutely LOVE you to join us!

Cost - £17.50 entry fee (price includes a swanky new FWC Technical T-shirt)

Timings - Meet at Pont ar Daf car park (LD3 8NL) for registration at 09:30am on Saturday 14th September 2024. Event should be completed by approx 2pm. Please note the car park now has a charge of £7.50 per car to use it. Visit the National Trust website for more information about the new car park and it’s facilities.

Kit List - Full kit list will be sent across by email on booking.

Are participants able to bring their dogs? - Unfortunately we can’t have any dogs on this challenge.

Participation - This event is for FWC members - If you are a female with a partner (spouse or long-term partner) in the armed forces (either serving or a veteran) and are not yet a member, please sign up HERE prior to applying for the challenge.

Insurance - All participants are strongly encouraged to take out their own personal accident insurance. Whilst every effort has been made to ensure security, safety and reduce risk, it is impossible to eliminate all risk and therefore FWC cannot be held responsible for any personal injury/illness, loss of and/or damage to kit or equipment that may occur during the event.

Prior to the event an online Accident Waiver will need to be signed, this will be emailed to you ahead of the event.

PLEASE NOTE: Entries must be received by the 16th August 2024 to ensure the correct t-shirt size can be provided. Entries are still welcome after this date- but we cannot guarantee you will receive this years FWC t-shirt in your requested size.
